As an honors mechanical engineering student at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems. I have participated in various projects, such as the ASME Student Design Competition, where I collaborated with my peers to design a device that collects renewable solar and wind energy and moves weights around a game surface. Through this experience, I learned how to research, prototype, and test different solutions, as well as how to work effectively in a team. In addition to my academic pursuits, I also work as a STEM tutor at the AANAPI Student Success Center & Development (ASCEND), a program that aims to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for students. I enjoy helping my college peers with fundamental STEM courses, which are crucial for success in higher-level courses. I practice efficient communication of technical concepts in a way that is easy to understand, both verbally and in writing. I also serve as the Treasurer and Event Coordinator of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) at CSULB, where I am responsible for cash management, financial planning, and organizing seasonal events to attract and engage members. I have developed strong leadership, time management, and interpersonal skills through these roles. I am expected to graduate in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering. I aspire to pursue a career that combines my interests in design, innovation, and sustainability. I am always eager to learn new things and challenge myself, and I value diversity, collaboration, and excellence in everything I do.
