An individual who has been passionate about the design, creation, and implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment for learning since day one. As a professional, I can draw on over 12 years of formal/informal educational experiences and training across diverse educational environments to interact and engage with individuals of all ages. I can design coursework, support resources, and other pedagogy/andragogical tools based on loose frameworks and transform them into innovative, original learning opportunities that provide students with unique learning experiences that challenge them to engage with multiple perspectives beyond their own. It is my personal educational philosophy to utilize a foundation of technology, culturally responsive pedagogy, student-centered principles, place and problem-based learning, and interdisciplinary curriculum for the creation of any educational tool, resource, and material. I have learned to develop differentiated classrooms that respond to diverse learning styles, strategies, and backgrounds to invite maximum participation by blending in multiple modalities into each lesson. My success as an educational would not have been possible without the time spent completing a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at the American College of Education, both my Masters of the Arts in Spanish Language, Literature, and Pedagogy and double Bachelors of the Arts in Spanish Language and Literature and Latin American Studies at the University of Delaware. As a result of my formal education, I am equipped to represent an institution or company as a coach and mentor given my knowledge of best practices, curriculum design, and effective instructional methodologies to fulfill the needs of a diverse student and faculty body, using the best and emergent resources to bring a 21st Century based curriculum to life. Outside of the classroom, I have had the privilege to teach outside the United States, living and working in Santiago de Chile. As a result of each opportunity, I have been nominated as Teacher of the Year at Appoquinnimink High School (2023), the Delaware Charter School Assocation IDEA award for Dedication at MOT Charter School (2019), and won the Distinguished Instructor Prize at the Instituto Profesional Santo Tomas. In 2021, I was recognized as a U.S. Presidential Scholar Distinguished Educator.
