Led the hardware org. through a rapid scale-up within Uber, building a team of 150+ brilliant people across product, design, engineering, and manufacturing.Together, we improved our existing JUMP vehicles and developed the next generation: electric bikes, scooters, user-swappable batteries, precise tracking systems, computer vision, and robotics that represented step-function improvements in safety, operating economics, and ride experience. Debuted in 2020 at the start of the pandemic, these vehicles ultimately relaunched in modified form as Lime's "Gen 4" hardware after Uber New Mobility was merged with Lime to weather the worldwide pandemic commuter downturn across Uber's lines of business.

I led the development of our electric bikesharing systems that pioneered a better future for urban mobility. We built industry-leading tech & packaged it into award-winning designs: custom vehicles, powertains, batteries, IoT & tracking systems, solar-powered on-street charging & parking infrastructure. Deployed in over 30 cities globally, we were acquired by Uber in 2018 for $200 million.
