As an undergraduate research assistant, I carry out experiments and learn different immunohistochemical techniques to stain for various markers (MCM2 and Ki67) of dividing cells in the brain, and learned to quantify these levels in the hippocampus to explore a chemokine (CCL11) that is associated with reduced neurogenesis, infection, cognitive decline, and neuroinflammation.

As a volunteer, I engage with children by providing companionship and support while they await their infusions. In addition to fostering a welcoming environment, I ensure the clinic remains clean and safe by restocking and sanitizing toys and materials, contributing to the overall care and well-being of the patients.

As a behavioral technician, I work closely with children diagnosed with autism, implementing evidence-based strategies to reduce problem behaviors and reinforce positive ones. I focus on addressing social and functional deficits through tailored interventions, helping children develop critical skills that enhance their overall quality of life and social interactions.

As Community Outreach Chair of Alpha Chi Sigma, I coordinate and organize volunteer efforts, connecting our members with different service opportunities on campus and around the area. I also actively foster collaborations between AXE and various organizations to promote community engagement and encourage members to develop a lasting commitment to service.

As an administrative assistant, I assist with logistics, telephone reception, and organize meetings as well as maintaining a welcoming environment within the workplace through conversational exchanges with employees, guests, and researchers.

As an undergraduate research assistant with the Lorberbaum Lab, I practiced cryosectioning and immunofluorescent staining of wild type and mutant pancreas samples in order to explore the intersection and relationship between GATA4 and Retinoic Acid Signaling.

As a member of the Alumni Student Outreach committee under the Health Sciences Scholars Program, I assisted in organizing, facilitating, and participating in meetings to organize fun and creative events that served to connect current and past members of the program to encourage community and inclusion.
