After spending time working as a mid-level manager on the digital team, I was promoted to the Director of Digital Marketing role at Curious Jane.As a mid-level manager in a growing advertising agency, I wore many hats in this role. I collaborated agency-wide in all efforts (as our agency was growing quickly after the COVID-19 lockdown, so it was an 'all hands on deck' stretch to produce dazzling work, win new business and hire the right talent.)I got my hands dirty hiring and building up a robust team of smart, tactical and strategic employees who were flexible enough to roll with the punches of new campaigns (as we were an early advertiser with TikTok's Beta self-service ad accounts) and conversely, build by the book for top-performing campaign methodology. The ebb-and-flow of this shifting landscape post-COVID19 presented a series of challenges for our clients' businesses, and my team and I stood firmly to provide guidance, expertise, recommendations and leadership in an industry we know so well. Case Study: As the Sr. Manager of Social Media, we landed our largest client. This complex, multi-million-dollar media buy came to my desk and quickly required me to level up in many ways, and very quickly. In a span of about four months, I was required to solve: 1) Planning and development of new campaign architecture for a multi-million dollar international media buy. 2) Solve for fund distribution for over 1500 locations with little-to-no historic performance data. 3) Data and communication tracking and communication across barriers. Fast-forward to a year after launch, this quick thinking produced results EXCEEDING the client’s stretch goal of 20% growth YoY of lead generation results. This incredible media win, coupled with knockout creative and incredible account management rolled together the perfect recipe for client success.
