Enthusiastic and adaptable, and currently seeking a new role within the Life Sciences industry in Scotland.Currently employed as a Manufacturing Scientist for the development of a novel COVID vaccine at Valneva Scotland, a leading vaccine manufacturer at their facility in Livingston.Have a strong proven academic history, having achieved a BSc First Class Hons in Applied Biological Sciences from Stirling University after graduating from Forth Valley College with an A in HND Applied Biological Sciences. Current role involved the process transfer of an established vaccine protocol to implement the production of a novel COVID vaccine, working with BSL class 2 pathogens in grade B and C cleanroom environments, all while complying with cGMP regulations. Due to its rapid implementation and novel nature of the process, I have been involved in many different positions during my time with the company and have gained experience in both upstream and downstream processing. Due to the heavy focus on practical training I received during my College/University education, eventually I primarily settled into a role in upstream cell culture, involved in the expansion of Vero cell lines. My comfort working within microbiological safety cabinets was promptly noticed and I was chosen to become a trainer in aseptic technique for the onboarding of new staff.Am now seeking new employment within the industry in a role that will allow me to gain new skills and further my career.
