- Part time work along side university studies within the Inspections department.- Leading teams for basic structure inspections.

Industrial placement as a component of the MEng Civil Engineering (Year in Industry).- Undertaking bridge, retaining wall and culvert Principal, General and Special Inspections in accordance with CS 450 Inspection of Highway Structures and the Inspection Manual, 2007. These were in difficult access locations or challenging environments within water or confined spaces.- Undertaking complex one-off inspections, for example, a small Dam Crest or internals of Bridge Box Beams.- Creating detailed structural inspection reports, including Bridge Condition Index (BCI) and CAD Defect Sketches/General Arrangements.- Experience with some investigation methods such as Ferro-scanning equipment.
