I've been lucky enough to have work experience opportunities in gas turbine workshops at Auckland airport, work on helicopters at Ardmore Airport, and become familiar with workshops, manufacturing bucking bars and rivet gauges to extremely low tolerances. After graduating from high school I enrolled myself in a course with Air New Zealand where I received a Level 3 certificate in Aeronautical Engineering, also receiving an annual reward from the institute. From there I enrolled at AUT, graduating with a Bachelor in Engineering with Honors, in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, I'm hoping to move into a career focused on design, research, manufacturing or renewable energy generation. While at AUT have manufactured a wireless power transfer circuit, designed multiple PCBs using Altium software, and developed a GUI for GPS tracking software. Completed several advanced mathematics papers, two management papers, familiarized myself with C#, C, C++, and Python, completed a half year project designing an environmental climate control system and have become fairly competent using MATLAB.I've also been lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with AUT Estates, working as a Portable Appliance Tester, testing single phase and three phase equipment across the university campus, logging all devices tested, and identifying faulty or dangerous equipment and appliances, keeping a log of all failed jobs and reporting them to management. Now I am currently employed by AUT as an Assistant Electrical Engineering Technician in the ECMS labs at university, involved the logging of new equipment into the system as well as PAT testing of the new devices, also repairing and maintaining technical equipment within the laboratories. Getting opportunities to design specialist equipment for researchers, lecturers, applying skills such as, soldering, electronic testing, bulk production and engineering design.
