Key areas of responsibility:>Managing Client Relationships: Working with an assigned group of client companies, understanding the company capabilities and sales opportunities in order to advise and influence business development strategy, while also providing advice on the specific offers and supports available from the Kerry LEO.>Promoting youth enterprise culture: Mentoring secondary for the Student Enterprise Awards and the organising Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur county competition.>Food Business Development: Working on creating a county wide food strategy that incorporates all stakeholder within the food industry. Promoting food development programmes and working with early stage food business to encourage growth within this sector in Co. Kerry.>Building Capability in Client Companies: Promoting and encouraging participation in relevant business development programmes to enhance management and business skills within client companies.>Digital Marketing: developing a marketing and communications strategy for promoting events, supports and services for LEO Kerry though PR, Website, Social Media and print.

As Students’ Union President, it was my job to manage the running of the Union making sure it is run how the membership expect and beyond, and to make sure students have the best third level experience possible. Being the CEO and Financial controller of the Union, I lead, motivated and managed a team of 5 full time staff, and 6 part-time staff. Over the year I controlled a budget for the Union of over €200,000, and developed working business relationships with over 100 companies working towards the student market.As the main spokesperson of the Union and the main student representative I sat on many committees and councils such as USI National Council, IT, Tralee's Academic Council and IT, Tralee's Governing Body. I supervised all campaigns of the Union including our local and national campaigns.As the President of IT, Tralee Students' Union I liaised with students, staff and all relevant authorities to enforce students rights, on all educational, welfare and equality matters.From my time as President, I gained huge experience and posses a high level of confidence in selling, negotiation, advertising and event management and developed an intricate network of connections that spreads nation-wide.Specialties: Union negotiation, purchasing, sales and marketing, B2B sales, government of legislation and policy, student liaison and representation.

Representation of 3500 members, enforcing student educational rights, referring students to appropriate authorities. Sales and Marketing also made up a huge part of this position. The Students' Union handbook is comprised of a diary, various student information and of about 100+ adverts from local business'. I gained experience in B2B by cold calling to numerous business in the Tralee and greater Kerry area, despite the economic downturn I was able to surpass my target in a very short time allowance.

Continued experience in POS, customer service, merchandising, customer visual, selling store cards and making targets. Debenhams recognised me of being management material, by recommending me to join their management team in their chain of stores in Ireland and the UK.
