Site Manager/Contracts Manager for GEDA, responsible for managing the restoration of the 22 mile long Mourne Wall to its original condition in accordance with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency ‘Protocol for the Care of the Government Historic Estate’. Development of surveying and restoration methodology which has incorporated the innovative use of geotagged photos, drone technology and interactive 3D modelling to support surveying, costing and management of the works. Project involved a range of specialist sub-contractors ranging from local stonemasons employing traditional construction methods to authentically restore the wall, to helicopter aerial lifting specialists to support the works and import materials without adversely affecting the ASSI

Portstewart

Site Manager from contract award through to contract completion for the NEC Option A Design and Build contract which involved environmental enhancement works to a 500m stretch of the promenade in the popular seaside town of Portstewart. Responsible for the co-ordination of design development of the new decorative concrete promenade and assessing the design’s constructability onsite. Responsible for developing and implementing a construction programme that could meet the contractual time/financial constraints of the project whilst simultaneously minimising the impact on the town’s residents, businesses and tourism based economy. Effective HSEQ management was vital to ensure the workforce, public and sensitive seafront environment were protected throughout.

- Dealt with large groups of tourists and students comunicating to them the histroy and geology of the Marble Arch Caves- Responsible for the members of public in my care- Promoted to the position of Supervisory Assistant working with up to six students and graduates to implement projects planned by the Fermanagh District Council and related organisations.- Achievements included Way-marking 33km of Ulster way walkway over Cuilcaigh Mountain, designing and constructing numerous footbridges and stiles and finally installing 5km of Eco-grid walkway across peatland.
