I work with employers to reduce the risk of discomfort and injuries in the workplace.How? I am an independent provider of onsite ergonomic assessments, DSE assessments and VDU eye assessments. I work with clients across the corporate, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, transport and education sector to risk assess and adapt the work place to fit their employees.I have a Sports Science and Health background and spent 14 years working in a clinical occupational health setting, carrying out Exercise and Resting ECGs, Phlebotomy, Audiograms, Spirometry testing and VDU eye testing. During this role I encountered many employees with various health issues and became interested in the interaction between employee and their work space and practices. In 2011 I completed a Masters in Applied Ergonomics with the University of Nottingham. Since then I have been working alongside employers to adapt their workplaces to improve the postures and practices of their employees, with the aim of improving productivity and employee wellbeing.In 2022, noticing the role that neurodifferences can play in workplace discomfort and stress, I undertook a PostGraduate Diploma in Neurodiversity in UCD, with the aim of increasing my understanding of neurodiversity and how employers can foster neuroinclusivity in the workplace.
