Nibal Hamdan Bark is the Chair of Board of Directors, Secondary Director and the Head of Development and Research in Greenfield College. She was first appointed as the academic director in the year 2008, and since then the student body grew from 400 to more than 1000. A strong advocate to academic excellence, Mrs. Hamdan headed the school’s successful IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Program), CELF, and LFE (LabelFranceducation) accreditations. She designed the school’s STEAM, Environmental science and Debate curricula and currently serves as the coordinator of these subjects besides the IBDP.Mrs. Hamdan’s scholarly accomplishments include publications in refereed journal articles and presentations at academic and civic conferences. She received the “Golden Apple Award” for her innovative teaching methods, along with many national and international prizes for different projects and documentaries that she prepared and edited.Mrs. Hamdan is a curriculum designer, Microsoft innovative expert and a professional development leader who has been training teachers and students on the most advanced teaching and learning practices, technology integration, project-based learning, assessment tools, thinking strategies, intercultural dialogue, and life skills for more than 25 years. She also worked as a producer and script writer in Future Television. She is a member of numerous professional academic organizations such as the New York Academy of Sciences and NSTA and is currently serving on the Board of SAID, a non-profit organization that aims at raising awareness against colorectal cancer. She is also a strong advocate to environment issues and has volunteered in many environmental events with Greenline, Green Peace and Operation Big Blue.Mrs. Hamdan received her Bachelor and master's in sciences from the American University of Beirut, a dietetic internship from the American University hospital, a teaching certificate from Kid Proof, and diploma from Boston College. She believes that good education should never be defined by a set curriculum nor imprisoned within classroom walls. It is a self-led, school-moderated, skill-based, technology-developed, learner-tailored and authentically oriented ongoing journey that paves the way to a better and peaceful future.
