My aim is to be recognised as an international expert on the performance of concrete structures, and to improve the reliability of such structures by my own engineering, educating other engineers, and contributing to the state of related knowledge and design codes.I am a Chartered Professional Engineer with significant experience in analysis, design, and assessment of structures. I also have a substantial research background that allows me to understand structural behaviour rather than simply following the letter of design codes and guides. This combination of skills and experience enables me to make significant contributions on complex projects, and has been of particular value during recent litigation support engagements. I am a confident speaker and comfortable in a wide range of professional environments, including direct liaison and socialisation with senior clients. My written work is regularly complimented for its clarity and readability, particularly when technical issues must be communicated to non-technical parties.
