• Day to day communication with Customers, Brokers, Traders, Operations, Accounting related to freight, laytimes, commercial claims.• Active engagement in relationship building with customers.• Updates of IMOS with freight rates, terms agreed and fixing details.• Freight Invoicing after reviewing of Recap, base CP, additional clauses and other commercial agreements, relevant communication inputs from VOs, MOCs and traders.• Replies to inquiries and filing of communication.• Preparation of demurrage (laytime) calculations focusing on maximizing profit and service quality with a customer.• Follow up and negotiations of Laytime calculations with customers till agreement.• Handling general hire related claims.• Close work with the Vessel Operations desk for critical information from the physical operations of the ship, relevant for Laytime and Invoice accuracy, voyage performance and reimbursement of costs according to CP terms.• Close work with the Credit Control team for the follow-up on due payments under freight/laytime invoices.• Review of CPs, COAs, additional clauses as well as all relevant documentation from the vessels/port agents for the identification of potential gaps.• Identification of process gaps and proposals of corrective and improvement actions.• Participation in training and workshops, actively sharing of lessons learned through a sharing platform, and other forums.

• Pre-fixture support and post-fixture follow up. Assisting the vessels chartering managers in fixture inquiries or procedures.• All commercial communications between the Master, Owners, Brokers, Agents and all involved.• Instructing and guiding Masters as appropriate in the efficient performance of a voyage as per the Charter Party requirements.• Monitoring the vessel's commercial performance against the charter party requirements including speed, consumption, cargo carriage and port performance, and investigating any shortfalls in these.• Monitoring and arranging of weather routing as required.• Maintaining the commercial operations software (Vesson IMOS, etc) up to date.• All commercial reporting as required by the Owner. Monitoring and recording off-hire or deviation and reporting to the Owners and Managers as required.• Maintaining an account of bunkers on board and optimizing the uptake for spot market ships, bunkers order.• Close interaction with HSSE department on safety and security matters.• Planning for the SIRE and CDI vetting inspections and timely submission of the requests. Assistance in the preparation.• Cooperation with the technical department on technical matters.• Coordination with the purchasing department on spare parts delivery as well as with agents and suppliers.• Appointing agents as appropriate for all cargo, bunker or strictly commercial voyage port calls and arranging port cost finding as required.• All financial matters pertaining to voyage costs, including but not limited to:• Hire invoicing and recovery• Laytime calculation, demurrage claims and recovery• Miscellaneous commercial claims and recovery• Voyage results as required by the Owner• Performance claims• Miscellaneous commercial claims and recovery• Handling of the P&I cargo-related claims and all defense club matters.• Invoicing, PDA processing and FDA verification, liaising with the Accounts Department in all aspects of commercial accounting.
