We've created Swished to give fashion lovers an affordable, sustainable and on trend alternative to fast-fashion, by providing a consumer-to-consumer rental platform that opens up the fashion sharing economy to everyone. Swished is an e-commerce platform - with our app coming soon! - that has the look and feel of a social media app. Users will be able to upload curated photos and videos of themselves tagging items for rent or sale to earn followers and cash, and discover inspirational content and attainable fashion from others.It’s 21 Buttons meets Depop and Rent the Runway.

Kannava is an ethical fashion label that partners with female refugees to create beautiful pieces using traditional hand embroidery techniques called tatreez. Each piece is hand embroidered, entirely unique and takes over a month to create.Kananva is about the celebration of refugees and female empowerment. Every sale gives our artisans the opportunity to earn a fair wage, break the cycle of poverty and preserve the dying art of traditional hand embroidered tatreez.

Working across the globe, much of what I do is about supporting organisations to digitally and culturally transform at pace. Here are is just some of what I have done recently:• Worked with a diverse range of businesses to support their digital vision setting and business strategy: Just Retirement, Ladbrokes, Santander, Aimia (Nectar), Fidelity and Puig (Paco Rabanne), • Co-created with clients and their customers on new products and services for: Berkshire NHS, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Conde Nast, the Times Newspaper and Mars Wrigley, Mars Retail (for whom I’m currently leading their experience team as we redesign their flagship store).• Trained ‘innovation champions’ at HSBC, Microsoft, & Northumbrian Water.• Part of a team that setup a global innovation capability based in Hyderabad, India for HSBC; recruiting, training and providing ongoing support to the team in learning and practicing design thinking principles to tackle HSBC’s toughest challenges.• Led a joint team with Legal & General, helping them to secure multi-million-pound intermediary affinity deals with leading brands.• Mentored a diverse range of Startups including Michel Roux Jr.’s cookery school and Flight Club a fast-growing chain of tech-driven bars, as part of the British Library’s Innovation for Growth accelerator scheme.• One of two keynote speakers at a Visa Europe / City University hackathon based on the future of payments.• Extensive experience in public speaking and organising & running RapidStarts, Fluxx’s unique events that drive out business value fast.• Written thought leadership articles including being featured in the MailOnline talking about how to safeguard finances from Brexit. I’ve also written pieces on what can be learnt from leading Startups around the world and on using behavioural psychology and Wizard of Oz experiments to improve people’s financial wellbeing.

Set up in 2000 as a statutory alternative to courts, the Financial Ombudsman Service is the official independent expert in resolving disputes between general public and financial service firms. As an Ombudsman, my primary role was to make straightforward, common sense, legally binding decisions on financial disputes that were fair, and that felt fair to the recipients. But as a senior professional leader, I also provided guidance and coaching to help colleagues achieve their potential and give our customers the best possible service.Before being appointed as an Ombudsman, I was a lead adjudicator and before that an adjudicator.My time at the Ombudsman Service was unique as I also worked extensively on developing new internal and external services to meet the ever-changing needs and expectations of colleagues and customers.This included:· Developing and delivering software that brought even greater consistency to the Ombudsman Service's work.· Contributing to the update of our approach to compensation, writing parts of the guidance note and designing and developing an e-learning programme for all colleagues – a first of its kind at the Ombudsman Service.· Leading a project team tasked with creating a new online channel, introducing web-chat and an optimised mobile phone user experience.· Working with some of the biggest financial services providers to put in place new ways of working. This included helping one of the largest banks to resolve the fallout from an unprecedented banking incident that prevented their customers getting access to money from cash machines.I’ve also been a casework expert in all the Ombudsman Service's main areas of work; banking, insurance, investments and payment protection insurance. So my knowledge of retail financial services is both broad and deep.

Responsible for managing a store with an annual turnover of £3m+. Responsibilities included hiring, training and leading the team, delivering great customer experiences, ensuring that the store increased its profits, negotiating sales, conducting weekly team meeting and presenting store performance during management meetings. I was also an internal store auditor responsible for auditing other stores around the UK.Achievements: oversaw an increase in annual turnover by £1m and was the top sales adviser in the company for eight consecutive months.
