I have been writing, recording and performing since 1998, mostly in the Alternative Metal scene and Hip Hop scene but I do not limit myself to these styles and generally give anything a go as long as it sounds good! Harm Reduction has been an integral part of the Kaleidoscope Project’s ethos since it’s beginnings visit http://www.kaleidoscopeproject.org.uk/. As Harm Reduction Worker my client base are predominantly opiate dependant and entering treatment. It is at this stage that our service users are most at risk of general health issues and can often be practicing a very chaotic pattern of substance use. Methadone Replacement Therapy and Psychosocial Interventions are offered to people that have seen their substance use as problematic. It is at this stage of treatment that Harm reduction applies as importantly as it should be at its end.I am also part of the multi agency and Welsh Assembly funded Take Home Naloxone scheme, training users and professionals how to recognise and hopefully prevent overdose, what is and how to administer Naloxone.
