Vend is a cloud-based retail software platform, enabling more than 15,000 active retailers, in over 100 countries to accept sales, both in store and online, manage their inventories, reward customer loyalty, and garner insights into their business.As a software engineer, I was responsible for development of a real-time and highly scalable analytics solution, providing Vend's retailers with actionable insights for managing their business. From a technical perspective, this included numerous services written in Go, with ElasticSearch and MySQL for data storage as well as an Angular front end built in CoffeeScript.

Consulted on the curriculum development of the Yoobee School of Design's Web Design and Development bootcamp. The help boostraped the course I also completed several cohorts teaching and mentoring beginning front-end web designers and developers though a 12 week intensive web design and development bootcamp covering HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Sass, jQuery and Git with a dash of Ruby on Rails and PHP's Laravel.
