I’m a research associate at the Texas Advanced Computing Center. In the meantime, I serve as the secretary of High Performance Group (HPG) in Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC). I do performance study, benchmark and tuning for HPC systems, and develop necessary tools to improve performance of scientific applications. Previously, I was a principal system analyst at Indiana University where I collaborated with scientists from Indiana University Bloomington and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis to facilitate scientific discoveries with the power of HPC. Before switching to technology, my life was dedicated to scientific research. I obtained PhD in chemical physics with a focus on computational quantum chemistry. I developed and implemented multiple new quantum chemistry methods for the Gaussian quantum chemistry software package (development version). I was a key developer for Link-121 (Atom-centered Density Matrix Propagation), fragment-based ab initio molecular dynamics, and quantum nuclear wavepacket ab initio molecular dynamics.
