Grew up in Hamilton before joining the RNZAF. Spent the next 12 years in Military aviation specialising in Electronic and Acoustic Warfare. Moved into training with a posting as Senior Instructor Air Electronics in Victoria, Australia before returning home then resigning in 2002.Spent the next couple of years mowing lawns, doing a bit of Software Development with Marops Ltd and taking wedding photos.Moved into Project Management and Business Development with Wintec, one of New Zealands largest polytechnics. Wintec support staff with the opportunity to travel on Habitat for Humanity projects which took me to Vietnam in 2008. What an experience, building a simple house in the middle of rice paddy had a sobering effect and forced me to question some big things. Took up the role of General Manager of Habitat for Humanity in the Central North island. Habitats vision is "A World where everybody has a decent place to live" Now lead the organisation in developing programmes locally to serve families in need within the Central North Island. Our activities include New Home Builds, Social and Affordable Rental properties, a home repair programme and second hand retail chain. Internationally I have led teams to Vietnam, Nepal, Cambodia and Bangladesh as part of Habitats Global Village Programme.Specialities: Construction, Retail, Strategic Planning, Project Management, Tertiary Education Management. Not for Profit Management. International travel, gadget guy.

Graduated top of my course receiving my brevet and the Sir Robert Clark Hall trophy, assigned to crew 2 which Won Fincastle that year. I was on the radio :-)Was commissioned as a Flying Officer winning the Cadet award on Initial Officer Training at Wigram in 94. Following another tour on 5Sqn was posted to RAAF East Sale in 96 as the Senior Air Electronics Instructor. Posted back 5 SQN in 1999 for another tour. Left in 2002.
