About Nicholas R.
During my career as an analytical chemist, I interacted everyday with software attached to sophisticated equipment. I enjoyed learning about the technology and always wanted to use the software to it's full potential. After developing eczema on my hands (incompatible with gloves!), I started to look into a career transition. I began this exploration by taking classes in the IT-Network Administrator program at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, NC in August of 2018. When my wife and I relocated for a new opportunity for her, I continued that education through the online environments of Codecademy and Cybrary. While employed with Multi-Pack Solutions, I focused on Cybrary lectures. At the end of 2020, I decided that it was time to dedicate myself full time to self-education in pursuit of this career change, leaving my position of Quality Engineer as of February 26, 2021. Despite leaving behind chemistry and quality assurance careers, I will bring the skills that I honed through my roles into a new role:- Communicating effectively with internal and external clients to complete business objectives- Preparing clear, concise, and correct standard operating procedures and policies- Data driven problem solving, with an emphasis on determining corrective actions for root causes within the sphere of control.- Aptitude for learning new concepts and practices acquired through exposure and training in a wide variety of concepts and technology. - Professional & clear communication of theory, data, regulation and improvement ideas to peers & management using a variety of presentation techniques.- Experimental design and interpretation of data with strong emphasis on integrity, accuracy, and precision.Accomplishments:Diagnosing and resolving software and hardware issues in analytical instrumentation and industrial equipment using root cause analysis tools, experimentation, logs, interviews, and data. Qualification of a new USP Water Purification Plant & Dispensing systems in cGMP environment. Preparation of Installation, Operational, Performance and Process qualification documentation for industrial systems.Quality Assurance on ERP Software Validations.
