I have over twelve years of progressively responsible experience in the public sector where I have developed and overseen various programs in the environmental and utility management fields. I have in depth technical knowledge in stormwater, wastewater, and recycled water management that has been applied in various roles within the City of San Jose Environmental Services Department. My career has so far included duties spanning grant administration, planning permit review, environmental enforcement program development and implementation, program administration and departmental strategic planning.  Most recently, I utilize my excellent leadership and administrative skills to manage the Department’s Administrative Services team of 65 staff, manage a $450M operating budget, $1.5B capital budget, utility rate development, HR and IT functions, environmental health and safety, utility billing, procurement processes, and program performance metrics. As an experienced program administrator in local government, I utilize excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with diverse audiences with both technical and non-technical backgrounds including the City executive leadership team, City Council members, program staff, technical consultants, and the general public. I also hold both a B.S and M.S degree in Environmental Studies from San Jose State University.  Primary interests are in water policy and natural resource management.
