Key responsibilities included business planning and strategy, operations, marketing, P&L management, master franchise agreements, contract management, supplier relations, HR and contract negotiations.Established the company's overall direction and business plan, utilising market dynamics to build a profitable strategy, whilst making resource decisions that drive revenue, P&L and EBIT performance.Set the organisational and operational infrastructure for local and international franchise networks.Focused the franchise system on profitable growth and improving customer experience, marketing effectiveness, pricing, sales performance, and service; achieving significant, brand value and branding wins, with key Public Relations milestones that have included (amongst other):The first and still only franchisable restaurant to have been awarded finalist for the Gold Plate awards and the Australian Catering Institute awards in 2003, 2005 & 2007;Winning the Gold Plate for Best Casual Seafood Restaurant in Western Australia in 2007;Exceptional critic reviews around Australia, Japan, Singapore as well as The Times in London.Reviewed and assessed franchisee performance, working with new business owners to provide effective mentorship and effectively lead the integration of business plans, P&L's and performance goals.Streamlined operations and improved performance across the entire supply chain.Managed the negotiations of all master franchisee agreements with interested parties, and project managed the integration of new agreements into Blue Mussel operations thereafter..

Increased Banquet annual revenue from $1.2 million to $2 million, managed and coordinated a team of 42 staff for all functions held, and wrote the training manual for banqueting which has since been incorporated into the Novotel chain nationally.

Jointly responsible for the restructuring, organisation of this exclusive boutique island resort employing 23 staff, 20 bungalow suites with an annual turnover of $6.5 million, and developed detailed profit centre cost analysis of the existing facilities and operations.
