My passion for sports, and the business side of sports, has done nothing but grow ever since I was a child. I was lucky enough to intern with Uplifting Athletes for a month, working directly with the manager in the realms of marketing, social media direction, and campaign creation. Through this, I've come to realize the important impacts sport creates outside of just the athletic aspect, but in the realms of philanthropy and business as well. My lifelong experience in a funeral home alongside my father has shown me business values and lessons in personal relations up front and personally in people's darkest moments. In the years of working and observing within this unique field, I've learned a great deal about not just the industry, but the world of business management and entrepreneurship as a whole. As I continue to aid in operations at the funeral home, I plan on garnering even more knowledge and experience that will help me in all facets.I've recently had the opportunity to spearhead a podcasting project, "Crap No One Tells You." This has provided me with new experiences and insight regarding new media, website building, social media marketing, and media production/post-production, all of which I plan to build upon moving forward. As the realms of digital media/marketing and the funeral industry may seem like they fall on opposite ends of the spectrum, the business knowledge and interpersonal skills I've garnered are interchangeable between professions, and my connection to all of these experiences separates me from others at this stage.
