Visionstream is a engineering construction company consisting of 12 subsidiary companies and over 100 projects generating close to a $1 billion turnover.As the senior accountant, I am involved in all aspects of the finance function from monthly management results, statutory reporting, company and fringe benefits tax returns, payroll tax, BASs, tax effect accounting.I am a key contact liaising with company auditors, Leighton Holdings and all subsidiaries of the Telecommunication Group directly. I manage 4 finance team members ranging from all levels of experience including being involved in their performance reviews.

In this position I was responsible for the statutory accounting and tax preparation for a client base that consisted of large family owned businesses. Mentored and trained junior staff. I also had the opportunity have regular secondments to the Branch Office in Sydney assisting with business and tax planning for some of their clients.

My role involved working in both Business Services and Audit. My work involved statutory reporting, all direct and indirect tax compliance, consulting with clients and reviewing work of junior audit staff.
