The Board is responsible for setting policies and overseeing the management of the credit union to assure member-owners of the safety and soundness of their funds. All Board members are volunteers. The Board of Directors oversees creation and evaluation of policies; sets the strategic direction for the credit union; hires, fires and supervises the CEO; and oversees Oregon Community’s financial performance and compliance with regulations. The Board defines the CEO’s responsibilities and reviews progress annually; management is then charged with operational functions.

The youth group focused on both improving students’ public speaking skills and their ability to speak proficient English, and coordinating from the bottom-up two fundraising events with the aim of sending 10-15 German high school students to Atlanta in a partnership with the Chatahoochee Riverkeeper Project.
