    As Assistant Energy Manager for all US Temple Campuses Nicholas worked to ensure that energy efficiency projects are targeted, scoped and implemented to maximize economic benefit and carbon intensity reduction. Nicholas was deeply involved in working to meet our Carbon Action Plan goals with other Temple departments through energy projects, energy efficiency and renewable energy procurement. The largest project related to this was the Renewable Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) in which Temple is procuring renewable energy for 50% of its entire electrical portfolio. This is a $62 million project.Nick also managed a large number of energy efficiency upgrade projects for the university which included mechanical, civil and electrical engineering components. These have been largely very success in helping the university being more sustainable, meeting its utilities budget and furthering its climate action goals.Additionally Nicholas was also involved in energy accounting for the domestic Temple campuses through distribution meter analysis and the creation of internal bills. Nick worked to maximize automation of the energy accounting system so he can spend more time leading energy efficiency projects.
