I am currently a Social Studies Teacher helping students to earn credits in an alternative, technology based setting. It is my eleventh year teaching in public schools in Louisiana. I taught at Raceland Middle School for two year. While there, I taught 6th and 8th grade English and coached football. I then moved to Hahnville High School where I taught 10th grade English for eight years and helped students with Dyslexia in a Language class for five of those years. I coached boys soccer at Hahnville for five years. This year is my first year teaching Social Studies in an alternative setting. I taught English during Summer School for St. Charles Parish High Schools for two years. I was the Edgenuity and technology facilitator of St. Charles Summer School last summer while teaching Social Studies. While teaching in the schools, I also volunteered and coached soccer for St. Charles Soccer in St. Charles Parish. I was the head coach of several teams during my time coaching at St. Charles Soccer. I was nominated for Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. I am skilled with adapting technology to meet the needs of a diverse group of people. I was able to teach students that were learning remotely while I taught in the classroom through the use of Google Meets and other Google Suites programs.
