I serve as the current Court Navigator under Justice Services at the Buncombe County Courthouse, a position funded by the McArthur Foundation and employeed with a local, community partner, Goodwill Industries of Northwest NC. Hailing from Miami, Florida, I'm pursuing a Masters in English with Florida International University that builds upon my BA in Writing & Rhetoric with a focus on Professional Technical Writing/Communication. My previous experience with justice-involved individuals was at the Everglades Correctional Facility as a creative writing mentor/tutor for college accredited courses offered on the subject.Seeking more professional development, I have recently been accepted into the University of San Diego's Restorative Justice Facilitation and Leadership graduate certificate program for the Spring 2024 cohort.
