Developer for a Dept of Motor Vehicles credential database, built on top of Microsoft CRM (on premise). Application contracted for by 2 states so far. A lot of customization is needed to adapt this marketing focused Microsoft product for use as a DMV database. I worked on many aspects of this project including1. Javascript and HTML code to better adapt forms created with the Micosoft product for use in the DMV setting. The task of accomplishing this while not interfering with the base product is sometimes challenging.2. Developing C# for methods (plugins and other types) to meet requirements not anticipated n the base CRM product.3. Worked on our data sync framework to provide a bidirectional sync between between legacy mainframe data and the CRM database during a lengthy parallel operations period. This was challenging in that the legacy data was not always completely clean.4. Data patches for issues discovered in early production. This involved quickly researching, triaging and correcting each issue. As with item 3 above, the wok is challenging because of the nature of the legacy data and the need for timely triage and correction of this law enforcement data.5. Performance enhancements especially including client side caching of WCF call results in browser local storage.6. Providing DEV/OPS support for this application by writing build and deployment procedures using Powershell and C#. Includes traditional dll deployment as well as powershell/C# applications to deploy CRM specific customizations and configuration.7. Member of project team doing proof of concept project to upgrade Driver 360 from CRM 2011 to CRM 365.8. Test data generation utility. This was developed using the CRM API

Developed customizations and extensions for Blackbaud BBCRM – a nonprofit (fundraising) focused CRM application. Mastered the complex, challenging and idiosyncratic Blackbaud CRM SDK and devleopment framework, doing projects for many customes. Typical projects ranged from a day or so to a few months in duration. My work included customer specific enhancements in these areas:1. Adding new functionality, along with new database elements, to the on line application. This must be done such that existing functionality is not interfered with by following certain protocols established by Blackbaud and being careful in other ways. 2. Extending the batch data entry part of the application. This involves enhancements that add fields, change how UI elements appear and function, and supplement how back end processing works. 3. Creating entirely kinds of data entry batches. 5. Prepare complex applications to import and export data.6. Developing widgets for dashboard like display of information using the special Blackbaud widget framework7. Using SSRS to develop custom reports.

I worked on development in support of very complex hospital billing and registration applications. Technologies included WPF, WCF, WinForms, XML, .NET 4.0 and SQL Server 2008. All my work involved interacting with complex in-house developed application frameworks. I mentored new team members to help them understand and be able to work with this sophisticated code base. Agile methodologies applied on this project.

Note: I resided in Boston and traveled to client sites as needed. I did software engineering consultant in support of projects including BPM (Business Process Management) implementations. I developed a javascript based performance instrumentation framework for a large health insurer’s customer inquiry/BPM application. I’ve developed numerous complex workflow applications for a Medicare payments contractor. I quickly learned the ins and outs of complex BPM software suites including the Appian and PegaSystems PRPC. I prepared very comprehensive design documents, required by customers in the insurance payer space, using the MagicDraw UML documentation software. I developed a sophisticated, generalized, Microsoft based import tool to use in preparing various kinds of data files for importation into an SQL server database for the Advent Wealth Management product. I’ve also developed software tools in Java to help with testing and data conversion. I was praised throughout the company for, among other things, my ability to quickly and thoroughly learn new technologies and new business concepts. I developed java tools for integrating BPM applications with external data sources.
