A dynamic role that merges my passion for education and engineering.Specialized in designing and testing curricula with a strong emphasis on hands-on, land-based learning. Notable projects include the design and testing of mini propeller boats, self-watering plant pots, pulley systems capable of lifting 300+ lbs objects by hand, and kid-sized cardboard canoes.Coordinated and led weeklong excursions to five Indigenous communities, with a particularly cherished experience in Hartley Bay, situated at the mouth of the Douglas Channel and home to the Gitga'at. This remote community of 200 people, accessible solely by air and water, is located 630km from Vancouver.

Developed a Battle-Bot design project; allowing students to creatively explore stylistic, technical, and kinetic elements of robotics. Curated a $25 robot design kit with MDF Lincoln Log assembly, modular C++ interface, and hobbyist electronics.Devised project development groups for 26 co-op students to allow collaborative design.Lead a project-based learning program to empower student’s ambitious ideas and equip them with the skillset to realize them, such as; a tesla coil, a self-watering plant pot, and a wildlife camera website. Recorded detailed logbooks to track student’s progress and document their accomplishments.

Evaluated power distribution assets throughout BC in order to recommend new asset design. Aided in streamlining Excel asset tracker to send created design packages to BC Hydro more efficiently. Conducted arc flash studies on contracted airport electrical circuits in western Canada, including YVR's new LiDAR Tower. Used SKM Powertools to recommend optimal breaker and fuse settings, produce arc flash safety labels, and produce formal reports. Thrived in an independent and self-driven operator role, managing own priorities and timelines. Organized weeklong work trips in northern BC.

Reporting to an Engineering Technician, evaluated municipal works assets throughout the city to identify assets in need of replacement or repair. Data Assessment: Physical assessment of over 5000 traffic signs to prioritize replacement based on location, reflectiveness, damage, and type of sign. Evaluated various municipal assets by using survey equipment and then imported collected data into ArcGIS and Excel for assessment.Communication: Engage ArcGIS specialists and municipal works stakeholders to discuss opportunities and priorities associated with the repair or replacement of roads during a 2 million dollar road overlay project.Time Management: Thrived in an independent and self-driven operator role, managing own priorities and timelines.
