I play a key role in overseeing the daily operations. As a dedicated Substitute Teacher for Fayette County Public Schools, I have gained extensive experience in covering a wide range of classes from Pre-K to 12th grade. My role involves seamlessly adapting to various classroom environments, implementing lesson plans across diverse subjects, and maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere. As a Music Teacher at Arlington Elementary, I navigated the unique challenges of the pandemic by successfully transitioning students from online to in-person learning, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in teaching music to grades K-5. I founded Monticello Press in January of 2014 to act as publication company for texts on music education.

Responsible for the St. Patrick’s Church Choir in its entirety. Responsible for selecting and purchasing music, organizing and managing rehearsals, organizing and maintaining its music library, coordinating performances with church administration, providing leadership in the church’s music ministry, and facilitating unity among the choir.

Tates Creek Middle School

Managed a choir program of about 150 students that performed at the Proficient and Distinguished levels. Founded an advanced choir, the Vox Nova Chorale, which performed as the highest rated middle school choir in their region within their first year. Directed the theatre program, the McNabb Players, a program of about 75 students as well as coordinated a directorial staff of 16 adult volunteers. Theatre performances included shows such as Peter Pan, Seussical the Musical and The Wizard of Oz. Productions were seen by thousands of patrons and met with great success.

Assist the choir director, taught students individually, in small groups, and as whole class. Grades 9-12. Led sectionals and conducted full choir. Also taught jazz improvisation, music theory, and voice classes. Designed and implemented learning sequences.

SCAPA at Bluegrass. Assisted the band director, taught students individually, in small groups, and as full classes from grades 4-8. Led sectionals and conducted full band. Designed and implemented learning sequences.

Taught many subjects and grade levels from Middle to High School. Frequently received positive feedback from classroom teachers and even requested for future dates.
