I chose to study engineering because I have always enjoyed solving problems – especially when I get to combine technical skills with creative thinking. And in the twenty-first century, there is no greater problem than decarbonization. I’m currently tackling that problem through the lens of renewable energy at the industry-leading Brookfield Renewable. As a Generation Planner, I am responsible for the short- and long-term optimization of generation from 1,954 MW in hydroelectric, wind, and solar capacity across the Canada.
