Growing up I trained in Taekwondo where I earned a 2nd degree black belt before stopping to explore other interests. Taekwondo instilled in me a discipline and drive for success while igniting a love for processes that require analytical thinking, adaptability, persistence and independence. I was a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for Koop's Automation Solutions in the spring and fall semesters of 2016, using the summer months to complete courses. At Koop's I gained a large array of experience in the world of factory automation from mechanical design to business development. During my two semesters I was the lead engineer on two projects and assisted other projects while solving issues on the machine floor. At Koops I learned the value of cooperation between departments in the design process while gaining a heightened appreciation for the values of flexibility, persistence and innovationDuring my two summers of college spent in Indianapolis I worked for Jimmy John's, opening the store Monday through Friday and working through the lunch rush. While there I:• Balanced speed and efficiency while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail• Trained 3 new employees in the basics of the position, instilling the values of cooperation and stress tolerance. At these times I also took online courses both within my major and for general education requirements.In high school I worked for Mike's Carwash where I experienced a successful corporate structure and training that emphasized the customer experience through values of integrity and initiative. At Mike's I; • Sold extra services to 100+ customers on a daily basis, winning multiple sales awards• Cleaned and maintained the wash equipment, both regularly and in emergency situations• Worked as a team of 9 to earn the highest customer service ratings in the company (2012)
