Snipp is a global loyalty and promotions company with a singular focus to develop disruptive engagement platforms that generate insights and drive sales. As the head of SnippCheck Engineering I am responsible for the overall success of the receipt processing platform and client promotions. I supervise a team of 15+ highly talented software development engineers distributed globally to provide best-in class receipt processing technology to our clients. Additionally, serve as the product manager for the SnippCheck platform driving necessary improvements to stay ahead of the ever expanding industry standards. Examples include, creation of modernized APIs to support submission processing, increasing the reliability for our SMS/MMS communications, and the implementation of OCR and machine learning technologies. In the rare, but ever possible, event of a software escalation that impacts our clients occurring I serve as the escalation lead, to manage the internal response, root cause analysis, and communication to be provided to our clients.Other responsibilities include staff performance appraisals, hiring, maintaining a balanced budget, identifying on a reoccurring basis cost-reduction opportunities, provide engineering input to possible solutions in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), primary System Administrator for JIRA project management software, scrum master for all Snipp development teams, create and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for Snipp's promotion portfolio.Some of my largest impacts to Snipp have been through my focus on creating, training and refining the corporate processes and policies for software delivery, risk management, and change control which has resulted in: 1) An overall reduction of reported software defects by 400% over a 6-month period 2) A reduction in average promotion development timelines from 6 weeks to 2 weeks3) A reduction in average escalation response from 4 hours to less than 30 mins
