I started working as a General Insurance Broker in 1989 for Westfield Insurance. Dealing with personal lines such as Motor and Household Insurance. Moving on to claims handling in addition to new customer sales and account management.Westfield Insurance also had a division for Specialist Insurance for Scuba Divers which was founded in 1972. This was always of great interest to me as my love for scuba diving started at the tender age of 8. Having been fully qualified, I was keen to follow the sport and turn my carrier in to something I loved.In 1998, I took over the running of Westfield Insurance and was able to dedicate my time specifically to the Diving Community. Needless to say I now enjoy running all aspects of the company from Marketing, policy design and wordings, new customer sales, claims administration, renewals, accounts and compliance.Having been at the beginning of the industry in providing specialist insurance schemes and probably the first insurer in the Sport Diving market, we have grown to understand the whole industry very well in terms of products required. We now find ourselves some 51 years on being considered very highly within our market place and one of the top insurers in this field. Here at Westfield we offer a first class service with same day issue of policies and advice given on the telephone with the re-assurance that you can speak to someone that is familiar to diving, rather than just a call centre member of staff that unfortunately has often not got any understanding when it comes to the wonderful world of diving. All our policies are underwritten by top leading insurers and we are also Authorised and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
