As an Environmental Management and Assessment and Environmental Technician honours graduate, I have gained valuable knowledge in different sectors within the environmental field. Throughout my studies I have completed various projects including a Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment, environmental impact analysis, independent water quality project on Lyons Creek, created an environmental management system (EMS), and performed energy and carbon audits, which highlight my abilities to collect, manage, and present projects. I also possess a certificate in Ontario Ministry of the Environment Entry Drinking Water Operator Course. In terms of my work experiences I was a QA/QC technician with Law Crushed Stone, where I tested the quality of their products using sieve analysis and gradations. I conveyed the results and findings to my superiors using excel spreadsheets. During my internship at INNIO Waukesha I preformed an energy/carbon audit on their facility. I also worked at Pet Valu where I provide professional animal care knowledge and services to customers. I have developed and sharpened my skills in communication, critical thinking, and leadership through my experiences. I’ve always been passionate about the environment since I was young, and my goal is to gain experience and become integrated in the environmental industry.
