Nick spearheaded the investor relations division across the continent, coordinating client tenders and negotiations, team building and overseeing client deliverables.By conducting extensive consulting with listed entities in Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana and Zimbabwe Nick was responsible for introducing financial communication best practice to over 30 listed entities in Africa including advising them on several high profile transactions. His impetus created a movement amongst issuers to engage more regularly and meaningfully with the global investment community leading to a marked improvement in the quality and depth of coverage of African equities by international financial analysts and the world’s media.

Africa Investor Magazine is the first pan African English speaking business magazine to cover developments in Africa’s under reported and fast growing private sector on a sector by sector basis. Nick was responsible for creating new features and stories with a focus on banking and capital markets. His role also included networking with potential advertisers and negotiation sales contracts. Focusing on the financial sector across Africa, Nick pursued an extensive travel and networking progam that led to the development of numerous CEO level relationships with sub saharan Africa 's leading corporations and banking institutions. He played a significant role in growing advertising revenues in order to transition the magazine from a quarterly to a bi-monthly publication with a print run of 20,000 copies.

Angola

Since their launch in 1996 World Investment News have produced over 200 regional and sector reports published in some of the most prestigious international media publications in the world. Nick joined them on an ambitious project to produce their first country report on Angola. He set up a networking office in Luanda from where he was responsible for gaining access to high level government officials and business leaders to develop content and negotiate advertising contracts. The project culminated in the publication of a 12 page supplement on Angola published in Forbes Magazine on 12th February 2002.

AFA Press is one of the world’s leading producers of buinsess content producing country, regional and sector supplements through exclusive distribution agreements with the world’s leading international newspapers and magazines. In 1996 Nick came through their graduate training scheme supporting senior internal partners on several projects in Portugal, Central America and the West Indies. Promoted to Production Manager in 1997 he became responsible for content development, training new recruits; budget management and negotiating sales contracts with advertisers on individual projects. Between 1997 and 1999 Nick produced country supplements across a diverse array of countries and regions including in Mexico and Central America, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
