As front-of-house staff, serves customers, operates register and generally completes tasks associated with customer service. Works early mornings and weekends, as well as seasonal farmers markets in independent environment. Also aided in stocking and moving of various items, as well as delivering wedding cakes and other products to retail partners.

Was one of three copy chiefs that helmed the collegiate paper’s copy section, where we edited and proofread written stories, multimedia scripts and graphics, often on short notice and on a time constraint. As leaders of the section, developed training bootcamps and guides to editing, grammar and style for new staff. Special responsibility included collaborating with design team and executive editors to produce monthly print edition. Worked with other members of the editorial board to organize edits and the general direction of the publication. Through this role, gained valuable leadership experience and tested judgement on key articles

Worked directly with staff to edit their content: news, sports, features, reviews and multimedia pieces in 20-40 minute sessions. Further developed knowledge of AP style, journalistic values and general judgement.
