Patients would start their appointment by first stretching, followed by their appointment with their provider, then conducting their exercises with the PTA's, receiving their modalities, and then finishing their appointment by collecting their co-pay. Some of the tasks I would aid in include physical assessments, medication administration, and documentation. To ensure proper care, I utilized the Team STEPPS approach. This method ensured that best practices were conducted from patient admission to patient discharge. This, as a result, aids in efficient and effective patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration. Conducted phlebotomy to collect over 800+ lab specimens using infection control guidelines. Ensured all ordered specimens had the proper patient identification and were tested in a timely manner. Verified patient's insurance and eligibility of care before receiving treatment at Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) utilizing CHCS (Composite Health Care System). Completed referral authorization requests and updated patients on referral status. These referrals were tracked and executed on the same document that was implemented for medical record requests. By utilizing this method, referrals were prescribed and executed in 5 days as opposed to 8 days.
