Supported the migration of on-premise data warehouses to the new Google Cloud Platform (GCP).This entailed analysing and documenting control M jobs, unix scripts, abinitio psets and sybase objects. A very hands-on role that required both technical and analytical skills.

Lead a team of System Analysts across a wide mix of projects. Also carried out detailed analysis activities to support the TSA Exit Programme. This was to ensure there would be no impact on Aberdeen Standard Investment(ASI) systems when infrastructure sold to Pheonix Group Holdings was fully separated out from ASI.

Responsible for the delivery of Data and MI to support PSD2 Regulatory Reporting. This role required a great deal of flexibility in understanding new software, deciphering regulatory requirements and carrying out a number of different roles (analyst, developer and project manager) as required by the programme. Performed analysis, design and build activities to upgrade from the CDL Classic System to the CDL Strata Insurance system (Home and Motor). Main activity is ensure existing Finance, MI and Operational Reporting system recieve the data in the same format and with the same content as under the previous system. The main source of data for this reporting is the new BI Feed solution delivered by CDL that requires to be integrated with the existing data warehouse.During this contract I have worked directly with the supplier(CDL) and managed a team of 7 analysts/developers. Technology utilised was Autosys, Datastage, PL/SQL and SQL against Oracle Databases.

Lead Business/Technical Analyst for Finance for Agiliti covering -- New Finance System ( Coda/Unit4 )- New Regulatory Reporting System (OneSumX)- New Finance Reconciliations (Accurate NXG)Carried out design and development activities on the above with the most focus being on the integration of these systems with the Signature Banking System.

Managed a team of technical resources to support the business in deciding whether or not to deliver new mobile digital functionality into retail banking marketplace.This involved the production of high level designs to meet specified user stories. A key component of the project was providing factual detailed information on the security design aspect of the project to help the business area gauge the financial and reputational risk in proceeding with the project.

This role involved working with developers (onshore and offshore), environments team, solution leads, testing teams, project managers, production support and change management. The role covered numerous projects with the major projects being the migration of credit cards to Tesco Bank from RBS and the introduction of the new Tesco Bank Current Account product. Achievements- Planned and managed multiple ETL Implementations into PPE and Production environments. This involved multiple teams based both onshore and offshore (India). - Managed offshore delivery of ETL build to plan and within budget and with a defect ratio of <5%. This was achieved working to tight deadlines.- Supported extensive parallel testing undertaken in 3 different environments on 3 different code bases over a period of several months that was supported 7 days a week.- Under intense project deadlines co-coordinated defect resolution so to minimize impact to testing

Worked as a Senior Systems Analyst as part of large programme to design a critical interface (journal feed) from the existing General Ledger System to the new Oracle Enterprise General Ledger System.

Carried out design, configuration, build and implementation planning for the new reconciliations to be performed by the FISERV Accurate product.

Took over as Test Manager for Integration Testing of MI, Finance and Reconciliations at very short notice at a critical point in the project life cycle. Numerous challenges were overcome to deliver a tested integrated system. Managed a team of 18 testers, had daily communication with numerous stakeholders within IT and Business Areas.

Managed a team of five to carry out system testing on Oracle Financials. Test execution was carried out to plan. Also took on extra responsibilities during the three occasions when we were without a Test Manager for the Programme.

A number of roles were performed during this time with RBS. The most recent as the Lead General Ledger(GL) Functional/Technical Analyst for the Delivery Team within Technology Services(TS) for the migration of GL feed data to the new Oracle GL System. Also built and tested mainframe cobol/db2 components as part of this project.Was the Lead GL Technology Functional/Technical Analyst for TS for the Ulster Integration Project(UIP). In both roles this involved working closely with the business to build solutions catering to their requirements. Also built and tested components as part of this project. Planned the technical upgrade of the existing Walker General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Purchase Order mainframe systems into Test and Production environments. Planned the technical go-live implementation of the i-Buy web solution for the Purchase Order System. Worked as part of team integrating the financial systems of a newly acquired company (NATWEST) into the existing mainframe General Ledger system. This required testing and support of new interfaces into the existing GL system. Also developed reporting solutions and provided expertise in DB2 performance tuning as required.

Worked with the Business to provide process improvements to their mainframe General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Purchase Order systems. Resolved a technical issued that was impacting batch performance that the software vendor was unable to resolve.

Worked with the Business to produce Functional Specifications to enable roll-in of Countries for centralizing of payments. Additionally performed batch and online coding for their Accounts Payable System using Cobol and the Walker toolset. Designed DB2 tables and also developed assembler modules for data retrieval.

Tuned Walker/DB2 General Ledger system to maximize efficiency and decrease size of batch window. Developed Data Aging tool for Year 2000 testing using Cobol and Rexx execs. Provided assistance in solving production problems as requested.

Responsible for managing a team of programmers to code and test COBOL Interfaces/Conversions and DB2 File Access Modules offsite to support the efforts of consultants onsite at client sites. Also required to provide technical development support/advice for consultants at client sites.
