Truffle Asset Management

I started at Truffle Asset Management as an intern to assist with attribution and on the operations side. I was offered a full-time job three months later and went on to streamline and improve the efficiency of operations as well as the handling of data of the fund information through Excel macros and setting up an Access database.Due to the small size of the company when joining I learnt about all aspects of the business: the back office where I served as a backup for the settlement officer, the middle office where I provide attribution and contribution reports for the portfolio managers, and the front office where I provided clients with information as requested and in preparing client presentations.My current tasks are implementing Quintessence - a highly flexible decision support system that provides control over and access to all investment artefacts generated for and by the research process. I am building an automated trading system for use in one of Truffle's hedge funds. I am doing this in excel- to allow the portfolio manager to put their own strategies into place- via Bloomberg's EMSX.
