Julius Caesar once said “Experience is the teacher of all things.” This has been the absolute truth throughout my career in the automotive advertising field. It all kick-started with stint as a rookie Advertising Sales Executive for Motor Trader Malaysia. This was where I realized my love for making things work for people and organisations. My principals were simple, if the clients are happy then I’m happy. We introduced change and created an entire industry – a unique Automotive Classifieds magazine. This was my primary education in the dynamic world of advertising.The drive was so strong that I took the risk and ventured into developing a brand new title dubbed as ON THE ROAD magazine. The learning continued as the business evolved rapidly. From print to the digital world as well as on the ground presence, OTR made its mark. The key to my enriched existence in the industry is the ability to keep adapting to the changes and to keep learning. Discipline, relentless drive and self-motivation is etched deep and will always be something I practice and preach religiously. Once committed, there will be no half-hearted efforts and there will be no retreat. I’m extremely passionate about people. Meeting people, discussing ideas, developing strategies, bringing ideas to life and successfully executing programs so that everyone involved can bask in glory. When the work is shared the success is duly shared as well. Whilst I have worked my way to helm companies and lead people, no task is to miniscule that I wouldn’t get my hands dirty doing. I love the approach of leading by example and this has resulted great results throughout the years. And yes, I am still learning and enjoying every single moment of it.
