• Led characterization of a CAPA for an unreliable peripheral device. I created tests and documented outcomes then presented the findings and suggested corrective action to our manufacturer. My current design may reach production and close the CAPA pending additional testing. • Developed fixtures, computer programs, and test methods for Abbott’s leadless pacemaker and Internal Cardiac Monitor (ICM). Tests included a routine for measuring external dimensions and a fixture for determining misalignment between the catheter and the leadless pacemaker.• Regularly used Instron and SmartScope for testing and Windchill to release engineering test reports.

• Studied the mechanisms that promote blood vessel growth (arteriogenesis) in the mouse model and learned the importance of decreasing confounding variables when isolating a root cause.• Performed a number of complex procedures including aseptic femoral artery ligation, superfusion, immunofluorescent staining, and perfusion fixation in vivo.• Managed the animal housing facility and breeding program for the BMED department.
