I help run a stress study on adolescent and young adults who are at an ultra-high risk of developing schizophrenia. Due to the stressful nature of the study, I assess participants' stress levels to make sure that they are comfortable after the stress inducing task. I also obtain sensitive information and input this in our excel databases.

I helped run a study on recent onset schizophrenia patients involving a social program that BPI developed. I often beta-tested their program and should the participants have issues, I would make sure to make my superiors aware. I also created and maintained some databases to track our participants progress through the study, making changes to the layout of the databases to make it more ergonomic for the principal investigator. I started this position by running participants in a computer room and making sure that they understood all of the instructions. Eventually, I starting coding various types of data for the PI with several other research assistants. We would also gather once a week or so and brainstorm ideas about what direction we should head next, or try to develop measures that fit the intended direction of the PI.
