As senior analyst programmer I am responsible for the development and support of a variety of solutions offered by BidsOnline. They include:- EasyBids - a back office solution used by auctioneers to capture. It provides the capability to lot, record transactions/sales, process banking vendo payments, processing of trusts accounts and offers management reporting- EasyBids Hand Held - web based solution offering a limited subset of the Easybids platform- BidsOnline Admin Portal - web based solution allowing auction houses to list and control their auctions- BidsOnline Timed Online auction website - web based solution offering "timed-online" auctions as well as "live simulcast auctions" with audio and video and real time biddingBidsOnline primarily develops it's solutions utilising .NET/MSSQL server technology stack though we also take advantage of Python for task scripting.In addition to the software development aspects of the role I am involved in:- Co-ordination and implementation of customer upgrades from desktop installations through to database upgrades- Assisting auction houses in training and support queries- Assisting the general public with any queries around using our websites- Providing configuration and monitoring of simulcast auctions (audio and video via RTMP/WebRTC) . - Liaising with network manager and software engineer on architectural design- Administration for our cloud instance of Jira, Confluence and BitBucket

I am responsible for the management of the Enterprise Systems team (5 staff) focused on the development and maintenance of on-premise/SAAS and internally developed applications.The applications that I am responsible for in the Enterprise Systems team is broad covering not only IT solutions but key corporate functions including : • Electronic Signatures (DocuSign)• Board Meeting Software (Boardpad & Diligent)• IT Service Management (ServiceNow)• Collaboration plaftforms (Atlassian - Jira, Crowd, Confluence and BitBucket & Microsoft SharePoint 2013 )• Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Know Your Customer (KYC) systems (Thomson Reuters Screening Deployed)• Identity Management (Sailpoint IdentityIQ)• GRC solution (NASDAQ BWise)• Whistleblower, Trade Approval, Deal Approval solutions (internally developed)• Building Management System, Building Access Control & CCTV (Johnson Control P2000)The breadth of the solutions requires that I hold regular meetings with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, propose solution designs and high level estimation through to business case development and presentation to prioritisation councils. I have a strong risk focus and an eye for detail when it comes to our change management process ensuring that we maintain a high level of availability for our customers. I am also been involved in the selection and mentoring of UTS cadets that undertake 12 month work placement within Challenger. This brings me a great deal of enjoyment to bring my take on career guidance/experience as part of regular discussions.

• Took over responsibility of managing the team comprised of 2 software engineers, a CMS administrator and UTS cadet who later transitioned into a junior analyst role. In January 2011, the team took on a dedicated Sharepoint developer to assist with the Sharepoint 2010 implementation. Beginning at the same time was another UTS cadet for a 12 month period.• Developed strong relationships with Online Marketing and Human Resources teams to deliver functionality and change across the organisation.• Team was responsible for the support and development of the public facing websites for Challenger and boutique fund managers. Assisted in introducing a "boutique in a box" model for standardising delivery of websites across a number of business areas allowing for stricter controls on budgets and more certainty on delivery timeframes. In January 2011 successfully launched a rebranded of the corporate website to align with new ad campaign.• Maintenance and development of the corporate intranet site including introduction of a YouTube style function for corporate communications and improvements to staff directory search/lookup functions.• Design, development and implementation of the corporate access control system that catered for recruitment, role change, termination of employee and external parties and automatically allocating work out to system administrators for systems, facility and file share access.• Support of various enterprise applications including Complinet (Know Your Customer), Microsoft Sharepoint Services 3.0, OpenText RedDot and Omniture.• System separation activities associated with Complinet and Microsoft Sharepoint Services 3.0 after divestment of the Genesys Financial Planning and Challenger Mortgage Management (now Advantedge Finanical Services).• Upgrade of legacy hardware from physical to virtual environments and onto SQL2008 and Windows 2008 R2.• Initial phases of the Sharepoint 2010 deployment.

• Returned to role within the IT Strategic Planning and Governance team. It was at this point I became involved support and further development of bespoke applications for Genesys Wealth Advisers within Challenger's Financial Planning division. This included an internal helpdesk system, professional development tracking for financial planner and online brokerage tracking system for advisers.• Developed and implemented data migration tool for moving adviser client data held in Lotus Notes through to Iress Xplan for over 100 member firms.• Role also involved visiting member firms across Australia to gain further understanding of IT system usage culminating in proposal document for a new client management platform.• Technologies utilised in this role included .NET 1.1 & 2.0, SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005, XMLRPC.

• Secondment to the OneVue development team in the Funds Administration area to assist with the development and implementation of the Annuity module.• Onevue is Challenger's main unit registry system developed under .NET 1.1 utilising Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

• Sole I.T. representative of Challenger’s margin lending business comprising of approximately 12 users. A dynamic role with duties involving general day to day support of 3rd party product Uptix, in-house product development of GUI interface to main database, implementation, testing and documentation writing.• Interact with the accounts, treasury and management departments for their information requirements, then propose and provide solutions for those requirements.• Established links with fund managers and financial planners to provide electronic feeds for reconciliation of clients managed fund and master trust holdings. Designed and implemented programs to allow for an automated process.• In April 2002 was involved with the investigation and successful implementation of conversion from Uptix to GBST Margin Lending system.• In October 2004, Challenger's Margin Loan book sold to Macquarie Margin Lending. Coordinated the migration of data from GBST system through to Macquarie Margin Lending system.• Tools used in role include IRESS (Equity and Option pricing), Visual Basic 6, Informix SQL Database, SQL Server, Crystal Reports 8.5, IBM AIX Unix, Windows 2000.

• Accepted transfer from Sydney office to London office to continue development and maintenance of Australian/New Zealand versions of Impart / Uptix investment management software.• Investigate/propose and implement modifications for version upgrades including Y2K compliance• Providing on-site support and consultancy for London and Asian based clients• In January 2000 became Team leader on OpenMessenger which is a Straight Through Processing (STP) solution, consisting of Electronic Trade Confirmation, Settlement and Reconciliation and integration with HiPortfolio. OpenMessenger is a GUI product written in C primarily for WindowsNT. Product also ported to Unix (Sun Solaris). PowerBuilder used to provide reporting functionality within the product. Sybase (Unix) and Sybase SQL Anywhere (WinNT) providing the database connectivity.

• Graduate programmer working on a Impart/Uptix, a funds management and margin lending product for DOS,WinNT,Unix (AIX & HP-UX). • Obtained detailed exposure to trade contracts, settlement, income, capital and corporate events, reporting, AAS25, Margin Lending and CHAMP Interface to CHESS.• Primary role was to support and enhance the Impart and Uptix platform• Took an active role in the administration of an IBM (AIX) and Hewlett Packard (HP-UX) Unix machines. Duties include general maintenance and administration of machines, compilation of code for Uptix product, organising the release of executables to Unix based clients, writing SQL queries for INFORMIX databases, and writing basic Unix shell scripts.
