Perform Civil Engineering services in relation to earthworks quality assurance. As a member of the construction team, I am directly responsible for applying civil and geotechnical engineering principles with regard to materials testing, inspection, construction supervision, and field data analysis for earthworks operations at the Fort Hills Oil Sands site, North America's largest construction project.

Provided Civil Engineering services on behalf of the provincial government including, but not limited to: the inspection of both major and minor bridges for structural defects, drainage studies to determine natural drainage pathways as a means of determining jurisdictional liability, road safety analyses, traffic counts, speed studies, and highway level-of-safety analyses.As an engineering intern I was directly responsible for gathering pertinent data from site investigations, and conveying this information to the appropriate Operations Project Engineer via concise internal technical memos in which my engineering recommendations were proposed. Standards such as the Transportation Association of Canada’s Geometric Design Guide, the Saskatchewan Supplement to the TAC Geometric Design Guide, and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Design Guide were utilized in order to make said recommendations.

Gained knowledge of the refrigeration industry through mechanical engineering principles. Worked with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and SAP while assisting on multiple contracts for arenas, fish plants, cold storage facilities, bakeries, and more. Increased my proficiency with AutoCAD by assisting with flow diagrams, layouts, and sketches for various projects, while learning how to effectively utilize space. Enhanced my project management and cost reduction skills through the creation of a master summary schedule in Microsoft Project for which all current contracts were scheduled. Gained knowledge in the requisition side of project management through frequent use of the accounting software SAP.
