My focuses in engineering include laser machining, control systems and automation of manufacturing, precision inspection and manufacturing, programming and integrating automation, and mechanical design. Some other skills include machining parts by mill or lathe, operating CNC equipment, Python programming, and Deep Learning development.Pennsylvania State University, class of 2019, Mechanical Engineering. As part of my thesis for the Schreyer Honors College, I used particle image velocimetry (PIV) to study the periodic flow and mechanical dynamics of a 3D printed flexible fin and compared my results with similar experiments (https://honors.libraries.psu.edu/catalog/6289nmf5233). As requirement for graduation, I completed a capstone engineering project. Working in a team of 3 engineering students, we designed, fabricated, and tested a robotic-ray capable of two-dimensional movement in the water. The majority of this project was 3D printed, requiring extensive knowledge in additive manufacturing, and modifications to the standard G-Code to create the advanced designs (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdt3OcuujHU).My preferred work is in engineering systems from both the Mechanical and Electrical perspectives, working the fields in unison to develop smarter, more efficient solutions to manufacturing problems. Combining my Undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering with my Controls Engineering experience gives me a variety of skills to break down advanced automation systems and integrate them into large-scale production.

Micromanufacturing EngineerPrecision Microfab Mar 2020 - PresentCurtis Bay, Md, UsOur clients at PMF seek expert guidance on laser manufacturing, motion control systems, and machine vision inspection. As an engineer of PMF, I've developed products from preliminary ideas all the way through to full-scale production. What starts as a prototype setup may develop into a completely integrated manufacturing cell. Our custom systems can produce thousands of parts per hour, or machining thousands of micro-features into a single part within minutes. As an engineer at PMF, I am proficient in laser-material processing, machine-vision inspection, SCARA and robotic automatic feeding, and PLC programming/integration. Our machine-vision inspection techniques include basic measurement methods, and advanced Convolutional Neural Network, or Deep Learning, applications. Deep Learning allows us to classify objects and detect anomalous products while matching the high-throughput requirements on our client's production lines. PMF's processes are ISO 9001:2015 and 13485:2016 certified to deliver guaranteed quality to our customers. -
Controls Engineer TraineeBosch Rexroth Aug 2019 - Mar 2020Lohr Am Main, DeAt Bosch Rexroth, I worked as a Controls Engineer programming, wiring, and troubleshooting control systems for hydraulic motors and actuators. This includes use of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and many other miscellaneous automation devices. -
Controls Engineering InternNaval Surface Warfare Center Jun 2018 - Aug 2018Washington, Dc, UsDuring my internship with NAVSEA, I designed and built a selector switch that toggled the connections from PLC racks to different lab-hull environments. These labs were setup to simulate and test new software on the navigation and steering controls of different carriers. -
Controls Engineering InternAvanceon May 2017 - Aug 2017Exton, Pa, UsAt Avanceon, I had my first experience with Programmable Logic Controllers in Rockwell 5000 (Allen & Bradley) and programmed their functionality for factories including Chobani, Aqua, and Kellogs. In addition to learning about system controls and data acquisition, I became familiar with Human-Machine Interface development through Wonderware.
