Nicholas Finegan is an award winning filmmaker from London and alumni of The American Film Institute in Los Angeles - where he trained on the MFA in Directing. He is the 2021 recipient of the highly competitive BAFTA Piggot Award, given by BAFTA to support British filmmakers pursuing a film career in the US.Nicholas’s filmmaking places queer characters front and centre in hard-hitting dramas that explore a unique blend of visceral social-realism and heightened, colourful camp.His films have been platformed by The Atlantic Magazine, DAZED, SHORTOFTHEWEEK, and 'Vimeo Staff Picks' - as well as having screened (or scheduled to screen this year) at numerous BAFTA and Oscar qualifying festivals around the world.His most recent film Bingo Queens was nominated for 'Best Drama' at The British Short Film Awards 2022.
