Design Summit Facilitator
As a facilitator on EWB's December 2016 Design Summit, I was responsible for a group of Australian engineering students when they travelled to rural Nepal to learn about humanitarian engineering.
I was responsible for the logistics, educational and pastoral needs of the students and I helped guide their learning by presenting workshops on engineering design in a humanitarian context.
During the summit, I organised workshops, local village homestays, and mentored the students in developing appropriate designs for their host communities.

Structural Engineer
At BuroHappold, I was a core member of the design team of Battersea Power Station; a £2 Billion refurbishment of one of London's most iconic structures.The redevelopment of the iconic Battersea Power Station comprises 1.5 million ft2 of truly mixed use within the walls of the historic power station. The project is split into two stages, starting with the repairs of the existing fabric, a brick clad steel structure, and the replacement of the chimneys. Following these preliminary works, new floors will be constructed within the confines of the Power Station.My responsibilities in the preliminary works included the analysis and design of structure to allow for extensive new window openings in the existing steel fabric whilst limiting the possibility of cracking to the existing heritage listed façade. In the main works, I was involved in the design of the steel superstructure, in addition to the concrete basements; including concrete structure, foundations and water-proofing.
