I work with over 100 distribution companies submitting inventory, sales, and customer data for over 200 sites, ensuring the data is clean and accurate for MSA’ s clients. My various tasks include technical troubleshooting, data analysis, research, coding, and balancing an ever-shifting set of priorities for MSA’s clients and the distributors by telephone and email. My distributor accounts range from small startups to large, chain distribution companies covering several states. Currently, I am expediting Red Bull's data collection in Canada.MSA’s clients include Altria, R.J. Reynolds, Scandinavian Tobacco Group, Hershey Company, PepsiCo, Proctor & Gamble, Mars, Nestle USA, and Red Bull.

With Mr. Clifton Colmon, Associate Director of Development, Analytics at Penn State University, we created a method of tracking and recording appeal traits of Penn State's mail and telephone fundraising efforts to improve future appeals' efficacy. We are analyzed at over 10 million mail pieces and 4 million telephone calls going as far back as 2003 for 24 separate campuses, including graduate, medical, legal, and agricultural extension programs. I developed the preliminary data points to capture for further analysis. The information sources were gathered and I cross-referenced the data pools to ensure the final data base is both meaningful and data hygienic. Furthermore, I documented the program development for process optimization in the future.

Penn State University Lion Line

I worked as part of a team to screen over 100 applicants per semester in a two-stage interview process to determine suitability for employment at Lion Line. This involved ensuring all payroll processing and paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely fashion, often requiring follow-up calls and emails to applicants. In addition, I collaborated with management to implement new Penn State hiring policies and to increase the average size of training classes. I tested and advised on the in-house development of the online Lion Line application process and Recruiter Tracker program.

I was part of a team that generally supervises 60 fundraising callers a shift. This includes explaining procedures, bookkeeping, and lecturing on new material. In particular, I was designated to troubleshoot technical difficulties and find and correct improperly coded data in RuffaloCody CampusCall. I have trained individually and as part of a team over 600 new hires. Training is then followed by live reviews and critiques to identify strengths and improve on weaknesses.

As a development representative, I served as the goodwill ambassador of Penn State to alumni, current students, and parents of the university. My primary functions were fundraising and promoting a positive attitude, other duties included noting concerns and complaints, providing resources to questions, and being a role model to other development representatives. Penn State authorized me to handle credit card information in compliance with university and Payment Card Industry (PCI) regulations. In total, I raised nearly 65,000 for Penn State from specialized calling pools from Hershey Medical Center, Dickinson School of Law, Schreyer Honors College, Planned Giving (estate planning), and all other facets of Penn State.

I was hired to update databases and archives. Direct mail sample archives required comparing the physical and the electronic archives to ensure that the samples were complete. The returned mail and complaint database required near-daily checking to track themes in alumni concerns. While updating deceased alumni records involved LexisNexis (Accurint), Sungard Advance Client/Servers, and more search programs to verify death reports of alumni and friends of the university.

State College, Pennsylvania

I helped acclimate one of the founders, Curtis Loo, to the State College area and presented several opportunities to him. My principle work was mapping objects to prepare school forms, e.g. reports cards, for coding in PowerSchool. Using PowerSchool is a cross between data entry and programing, requiring Excel proficiency and preliminary HTML knowledge.
